14 Then the tribe of Gad, the chief of the people of Gad being Eliasaph the son of (A)Reuel, 15 his company as listed being 45,650. 16 All those listed of the camp of Reuben, by their companies, were 151,450. (B)They shall set out second.

17 (C)“Then the tent of meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps; as they camp, so shall they set out, each in position, standard by standard.

18 “On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim by their companies, the chief of the people of Ephraim being Elishama the son of Ammihud, 19 his company as listed being 40,500. 20 And next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh, the chief of the people of Manasseh being Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, 21 his company as listed being 32,200. 22 Then the tribe of Benjamin, the chief of the people of Benjamin being Abidan the son of Gideoni, 23 his company as listed being 35,400. 24 All those listed of the camp of Ephraim, by their companies, were 108,100. (D)They shall set out third on the march.

25 “On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan by their companies, the chief of the people of Dan being Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, 26 his company as listed being 62,700. 27 And those to camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher, the chief of the people of Asher being Pagiel the son of Ochran, 28 his company as listed being 41,500. 29 Then the tribe of Naphtali, the chief of the people of Naphtali being Ahira the son of Enan, 30 his company as listed being 53,400. 31 All those listed of the camp of Dan were 157,600. (E)They shall set out last, standard by standard.”

32 These are the people of Israel as listed by their fathers' houses. All those listed in the camps by their companies were (F)603,550. 33 But (G)the Levites were not listed among the people of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 Thus did the people of Israel. According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, (H)so they camped by their standards, and so they set out, each one in his clan, according to his fathers' house.

A Lament for Tyre

27 The word of the Lord came to me: “Now you, (A)son of man, (B)raise a lamentation over Tyre, and say to Tyre, who dwells at (C)the entrances to the sea, (D)merchant of the peoples to many coastlands, thus says the Lord God:

“O Tyre, you have said,
    ‘I am (E)perfect in beauty.’
Your borders are (F)in the heart of the seas;
    your builders made perfect your beauty.
They made all your planks
    of fir trees from (G)Senir;
they took (H)a cedar from Lebanon
    to make a mast for you.
Of (I)oaks of Bashan
    they made your oars;
they made your deck of pines
    from (J)the coasts of Cyprus,
    inlaid with ivory.
(K)Of fine embroidered linen from Egypt
    was your sail,
    serving as your banner;
blue and purple from (L)the coasts of Elishah
    was your awning.

The Lord's Faithfulness Endures Forever

117 (A)Praise the Lord, all nations!
    Extol him, all peoples!
For (B)great is his steadfast love toward us,
    and (C)the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
(D)Praise the Lord!

His Steadfast Love Endures Forever

118 (E)Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    for his steadfast love endures forever!

(F)Let Israel say,
    “His steadfast love endures forever.”
(G)Let the house of Aaron say,
    “His steadfast love endures forever.”
(H)Let those who fear the Lord say,
    “His steadfast love endures forever.”

(I)Out of my distress I (J)called on the Lord;
    the Lord answered me and set me (K)free.
(L)The Lord is on my side; (M)I will not fear.
    What can man do to me?
(N)The Lord is on my side as my helper;
    I shall (O)look in triumph on those who hate me.

(P)It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    (Q)than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    (R)than to trust in princes.

10 (S)All nations surrounded me;
    in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
11 They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side;
    in the name of the Lord I cut them off!

A Woman with a Disabling Spirit

10 Now (A)he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had had (B)a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” 13 And he (C)laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she (D)glorified God. 14 But (E)the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus (F)had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, (G)“There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” 15 Then the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! (H)Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water it? 16 And ought not this woman, (I)a daughter of Abraham whom (J)Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?” 17 As he said these things, (K)all his adversaries were put to shame, and (L)all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by him.

The Mustard Seed and the Leaven

18 (M)He said therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like (N)a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.”

20 And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? 21 (O)It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in (P)three measures of flour, until it was (Q)all leavened.”

Sons and Heirs

I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave,[a] though he is the owner of everything, but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. In the same way we also, when we were children, (A)were enslaved to the elementary principles[b] of the world. But (B)when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, (C)born (D)of woman, born (E)under the law, (F)to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive (G)adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent (H)the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then (I)an heir through God.
